How to rotate PDF pages permanently (and only the ones you need)

Scanned a page sideways? Rotate one page or the whole PDF and save it, so it opens the right way up for everyone.

Most PDF viewers let you rotate the view, but that only changes how you see it on your screen. Send the file to someone else and the page is sideways again. To fix it for everyone, the rotation has to be saved in the file.

Rotate pages in 3 steps

  1. Open Rotate PDF and upload your file.
  2. Choose 90° clockwise, 180° or 90° counter-clockwise.
  3. Leave pages empty to rotate every page, or enter the pages to fix, for example 3, 7-8. Then click Process.

Common cases

  • One landscape table in a portrait report: rotate just that page by 90°.
  • Upside-down scans, usually every other page from a double-sided scan: rotate those pages by 180°, for example 2, 4, 6.
  • A whole file scanned sideways: leave pages empty and rotate everything.

Rotation is lossless: pages are turned, not re-rendered, so text stays sharp and selectable.
