1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using DocuTools, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
DocuTools provides online PDF and image tools, such as converting images to PDF, merging, splitting, rotating and watermarking PDFs, and compressing, resizing and converting images. The current list of tools and their credit costs is shown on the Tools and Pricing pages. The tools run on credits. You can get credits from a subscription plan (a daily allowance) or by buying one-time credit packs, and credits are used only when a job finishes successfully. Uploaded files are processed in memory and are not stored after the result is returned to you.
3. Account & Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter these Terms. You must use an email address you control; we may ask you to verify it, and welcome credits are given only after it is verified. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to upload, process, or distribute content that is illegal, harmful, infringing, or violates the rights of others, and not to abuse, overload, or attempt to bypass the Service's limits. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules. You can report misuse of the Service on our Report abuse page.
If you use the DocuTools API, keep your API keys secret. You are responsible for all jobs made with your keys, and the same credits, limits and rules apply as on the website. We may revoke keys that are misused.
Tracked Share: share only documents you have the right to share, and use recipients' details only to protect your document. Tracking codes discourage and help trace leaks but can be removed (for example by retyping or screenshots), so they are not proof on their own of who leaked a document. Recipient emails are entered by recipients and are not verified.
Verify Stamp records only a fingerprint of the stamped file. A successful check shows that a file is identical to the one stamped and when it was stamped; it does not certify who wrote the document or that its contents are true, accurate or legally valid. Do not use stamps to mislead others.
5. Payments
Payments are processed by our payment provider, which is shown at checkout. Where the provider acts as merchant of record, it is the seller of record for your purchase, handles applicable taxes and invoices, and its name may appear on your card statement. We never see or store your card details. Prices are shown in USD; taxes may be added at checkout.
6. Subscription plans & daily credits
Subscription plans (currently Standard, Pro and Elite) are billed monthly or yearly in advance and give you a fixed number of daily credits while the plan is active.
- Daily credits reset every day at 00:00 Western Indonesia Time (WIB, UTC+7), whether or not you used them
- Unused daily credits do not carry over to the next day and have no cash value
- Daily credits are used before purchased credits
- Plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, until you cancel
- You can cancel at any time; your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, and then daily credits stop
- We will tell you in advance before changing the price of an existing plan, and the new price applies only from your next renewal
7. Credit packs, bonus credits & usage
Credit packs are one-time, prepaid purchases. After a successful payment the credits are added to your DocuTools account. You can buy as many packs as you need. Purchased credits and promotional credits (such as the 10 welcome credits for new accounts after email verification):
- Never expire and do not reset
- Are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash
- Can only be used to process files with DocuTools tools
- Are used only after your daily credits for the day have run out
All credits are deducted only after a job finishes successfully; failed jobs cost nothing. If you have no daily or purchased credits left, you can wait for the next daily reset or buy a credit pack. Each tool shows its fixed credit cost before you start, and fair-use limits (such as a maximum number of jobs per hour) apply to all accounts. We may change prices for future credit packs; credits you already bought are not affected. Refunds are described in our Refund Policy.
8. Intellectual Property
You keep all rights to the files you upload. DocuTools and its software are protected by intellectual property laws; you may not copy or resell the Service without permission.
9. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Keep your own copies of important documents. To the maximum extent permitted by law, DocuTools is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time through a support ticket.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you have where you live.
12. Changes & Contact
We may update these Terms from time to time and will change the date at the top when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept them. Questions: support@docutools.net.
