Questions about this tool
What exactly is stored?
Only the stamp code, the SHA-256 fingerprint of the stamped file, its file name, page count and date. The document itself is never stored.
What if the file is edited after stamping?
Any change, even re-saving it in another app, changes the fingerprint, so the check shows that the file does not match.
Does a stamp make a document legally valid?
No. It proves the file has not changed since it was stamped, not who wrote it or that its contents are true.
